Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra

The new Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO - Rochester, NY) website was recently launched with great excitement. The website redesign was aimed at refreshing the original website design, while making Orchestra information easier to access and more straightforward. The site successfully delivers these goals, all while highlighting guest performers, special events and a full interactive calendar.

The site presents a completely new look, a website design that is unique to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. The Orchestra website design was crafted around a series of design sessions with the RPO staff / administration and Corporate Communications, Inc. design team. The website design was tailored to meet the requirements of the Orchestra and to visually align with current Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra promotional items.

A completely new information architecture (IA) was designed for the site, based on the unique user interface established for the website. This structure was designed to work with the custom CMS to present a dynamic navigation, which can be changed by the administrators of the site.

The Orchestra website is controlled by a powerful, yet user-friendly Content Management System (CMS). This secure system is comprised of a number of individual control panels that enable authorized users to add, modify or delete content on the website. It also provides the ability to create subsections as well as individual pages, thus putting the complete site under the control of Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.

The website CMS features a relation based system that displays items similar to the current page being viewed in a designated area on the webpage. This process is controlled through a simple system of related keywords controlled by the site administrator.

To maintain the high-level of dependability and reliability the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra requires, the website utilizes one of Corporate Communications, Inc.'s (Rochester, NY) web hosting solutions.
