We are currently seeking a talented Visual/Interaction Designer with a solid work experience - and kick-butt creative ideas! This position requires a team player who is highly motivated, extremely creative and excited about everything visual. There are countless opportunities to learn and grow in our fun creative environment, but it will take the right fit of skills and energy to join our team. Responsibilities will include interactive website design, website template development, print design, motion graphic design & development and mobile application design and development for a broad range of high profile clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in visual/interaction design, UX/UI, and typography. Stellar collaboration and communication skills paired with the ability to work independently as a self-starting are required. Additionally, a strong and systematic work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn while evolving his/her skill set are desired. The ideal future team member will have an interest in digital storytelling through social-first experiences, data visualizations, animation & video, photography, interactive elements, etc. Front-end development skill is a huge plus.
Responsibilities:
- Creative conceptualization
- Aid sales team by brainstorming and contribution of creative ideas for sale pitches
- Possess a firm grasp on timeline, budget and feasibility of each project to determine optimal production process
- Ensure that designs maintain usability and logic across platforms and devices
- Take full ownership of projects while applying strong design principles and best practices
- Collaborate with development and design teams to implement design/visual consistency across program/campaign elements and future products
- Stay up to speed regarding innovations in digital storytelling and interactive design
- Communication directly with clients about proposed concepts
- Collaborating with development team to execute vision
- Overseeing the consistency of the design from inception through launch
- Develop and test website designs templates with an eye towards improving conversion
- Ensure functionality across browsers, interfaces, and bandwidth speeds
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of the complete web development life-cycle
- Experience designing layouts for web sites, e-commerce, and/or Web based applications
- Ability to tackle multiple tasks with changing priorities and work on a regular basis
- Responsive Website Design and Development
- Thorough understanding of best web practices, design optimization, interactive concepts and usability & functionality
- Knowledge of SEO as it relates to web design/development/programming
- Print Design including Branding & Identity analysis and design
- Digital Illustration
- Skill Set Mastery: Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign CS6
Bonus points for experience / expertise in any of the following:
- Strong expertise in HTML/CSS, Sass, PHP, Vue.js
- Wordpress mastery
- Motion graphic design, 2D/3D animation, video editing
- Photography
- Working knowledge of print production and preparation of print-ready files
- Knowledge of compression techniques and related online delivery
- Mobile Application Development and modification
- Mobile UX Design
Experience & Skills
- Ability to listen to clients needs and successfully translate clients' business goals into creative concepts and solutions
- A strong, innovative and creative design portfolio conforming to our current client base requirements
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven work experience and a strong work ethic
- BS Graphic Design or related Field of Study
