Administration Modules

Administration Modules, or AdminMods, represents a new unique and innovative system developed by Corporate Communications, Inc. The purpose behind the system is to turn over control of web site updates to the client, without requiring an investment in a bulky and expensive CMS environment. It is a simple concept that makes sense, for both Corporate Communications, and our clients. Especially useful for areas of a site that needs to be updated frequently, AdminMods will put you back in control - without needing to learn a complicated scripting or programming language.

The system is comprised of three primary elements:

• Dynamic Data Repository - The DDR is the primary location of all the dynamic data used to populate the site. The data is stored in a fluid manner which allows for dramatic flexibility when looking to expand a web site. Data can be easily leveraged within other pages, while maintaining one central area to update all of the appearances of the content at once. The DDR is always structured in a logical straightforward way which enhances the delivery speed of the data to the Farming Web pages. The DDR could accurately be considered the skeletal structure of the system.

• Data Farming Web Pages - These specially designed web pages, are responsible for accurately accessing and pulling the appropriate content to display from the DDR. Each page is customized for its specific chore. A unique feature of the Data Farming Pages is that multiple pages can request and display the same information from the centralized DDR, in different ways. A good example of this powerful feature plays out in the following scenario:
  
  Assume a product needs to be represented on a web site, as an individual product page, a member of a larger product catagory, and a dynamic menu. All of these different but related data collections are stored in the DDR under the specific product. All three of the requirements listed above, need to display the product name. The Farming web pages pull that data from the DDR source, and by stating the display characteristics, each page can display the identical information in different ways. Now, what if the product name needs to change (maybe it becomes an official Trade Mark)? By changing the name in one location (the DDR by using the AdminMods), all of the subsequent calls for that information are updated. This is merely a simple example of the power of this system. Keeping in mind not all the data needs to be used by each Farming page, the combinations grow exponentially.
  
  
• Management Modules - The third element of this system bridges the gap between the Data Farming Web Pages and the DDR. These modules are what truly puts the control of a AdminMods web site into the hands of our client. These modules provide a simple and user friendly means of adding, deleting and changing information which is part of the Administration Module system. Access is restricted to these modules through a unique username and password combination, which can be customized to specific site administrators, further restricting control to insure no unauthorized modifications. As mentioned previously, no third party software is required, these modules are fully accessible through a standard web browser. Many of the modules incorporate a "hide" feature which allows for pre-population of the DDR with information, and a simple and quick means of "Turning On" the new content on when ready.
