Formally recognized at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Rochester Chapter 2003 PRism Awards Ceremony, an interactive CD-ROM by Corporate Communications garnered top honors - a 2003 PRism Award. The awards ceremony was held at the Elizabeth Gallery at ARTISANworks on June 12, 2003. Entitled Total Compensation-It's more than a paycheck, the project was a result of collaboration between Corporate Communications, Inc., Calm & Sense Communications (www.calmandsense.com), and Eastman Kodak Company (www.kodak.com). According to Kodak, this CD saves them "well over $100,000," each year. The CD-ROM is an electronic version of the benefits manual mailed to each Kodak employee annually. The CD version saves Kodak money due to lowered costs of reproduction and mailing compared with the traditional hardcopy format. A success since its first year, 2002, Corporate Communications has continued to update the disk each subsequent year for publication and distribution. "As an Anvil Awards Program, Rochester's PRism Awards recognize complete public relations programs and tactical elements incorporating sound research, planning, execution and evaluation. They must meet the highest standards of performance in public relations to be considered for a PRism Award," according to www.prsarochester.org. 2003 PRism award winners are listed online at www.prsarochester.org/PDF/prism2003.pdf.
