Interactive Designer Co-op - Winter 2011

We are excited to share that we have 2 Interactive Designer Co-op positions available during RIT's 2011 Winter Quarter! We are looking for talented Interactive Designers with a solid technical foundation and extrodinary sense of design. This position requires a team player who is highly motivated, extremely creative and excited about everything interactive. There will be countless opportunities to learn and grow during the co-op. Responsibilities will include website design, website template development and interactive Flash application development for a broad range of high profile clients.
Responsibilities:
- Creative conceptualization
- Communication directly with development team & clients about proposed concepts
- Execution of the design
- Collaborating with the Production team to develop websites
- Overseeing the consistency of the design from inception through launch
- Develop and test website design templates with an eye towards improving conversion
- Ensure functionality across browsers, interfaces, and bandwidth speeds
Qualifications:
- Ability to listen to clients needs and successfully translate clients' business goals into creative concepts
- Thorough understanding of the complete web development lifecycle
- Proven grasp of what it takes to design layouts for web sites, e-commerce, and/or Web based applications
- A strong, innovative and creative design portfolio
- Thorough understanding of best web practices, design optimization, interactive concepts and usability & functionality
- Knowledge of SEO as it relates to web design/development/programming
- Strong expertise in Advanced CSS, XHTML, PHP, AJAX
- Expert command of Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Flash (AS3 a plus)
- Must have strong written and verbal skills
Salary Range:
Compensation will be based on experience and portfolio.
