The NorthEast Neighborhood Alliance (NENA) is a resident-driven, comprehensive neighborhood planning initiative focused on 3 main neighborhoods located in northeast Rochester, N.Y., Marketview Heights Association, Coalition of NorthEast Associations, and the North East Block Club Alliance.
This initiative is committed to the revitalization of northeast Rochester through citizen empowerment and ownership.
NENA's goal is to reach the community through various neighborhood programs and emphasize building ownership and local self-reliance for individuals, families and neighborhoods.
In order to help fulfill this goal of neighborhood revitalization, NENA partnered with the interactive agency, Corporate Communications, Inc. based in Rochester. The interactive agency redesigned and revitalize NENA's once static web site presence into one of great pride and usefulness.
Corporate Communications created a web site, with a new friendlier and more vibrant web design, which mirrors the diversity and energy of the community.
A tremendous amount of additional content was authored, and existing content was revised to provide more detailed information regarding the organization's initiatives, programs and neighborhood involvement.
During the web development phase of the project, some unique features such as a calendar of events, news center, and photo galleries were incorporated into the site. These powerful features are easily updated by members of the organization, even those with no web development experience. This is accomplished by incorporating administration panels which empower individuals responsible for the web site to make updates using a standard web browser.
The web site has become the centralized location for gathering information regarding particular programs, events and recent news of the neighborhoods.
